Vivian was a farm girl born & raised in York Nebraska who went to a one room school house and graduated from York High School at 16.
She was a small town girl at heart who also loved the big city. Her adventures quickly carried her from York to Denver, Los Angeles and then San Francisco, where she met her husband Mario on the steps of the Avalon Ballroom in 1947.
Vivian & Mario married in San Francisco in 1950 and began their family with sons Ron in 1955 & Tom in 1960. After living in the Marina District in San Francisco and Westlake Daly City the family moved to San Jose in 1967. Vivian was a very loving and outstanding wife & mother.
She had a long and satisfying career working for the FBI and Union Pacific Railroad, and later as a legal secretary, notary public and personal assistant. Her remarkable organizational skills along with her ability as a spelling savant made her invaluable to all of her employers and family.
Vivian loved her family, her dogs, dancing, horseback riding and traveling the world. She also loved bowling with Mario and all her many friends, and also enjoyed her gambling trips with her sister Alice and family & friends.
Vivian was always a happy person who lived a full and satisfying life, and she will be missed by all who knew her.
