Shirley Mae Oswald, 87, died Wednesday, September 14th, 2022, at her Campbell home with her family by her side.
Shirley was born on May 26, 1935, in Butte Montana to Mary and Rudolph Lubick.
Shirley married Ivan Oswald on September 12, 1954, and the two eventually moved from Montana to California.
Shirley worked for the City of San Jose in the Human Resources Department for many years. She retired in 1992. She was a devout Catholic and and active member of St. Lucy Parish in Campbell, California.
Shirley is survived by her children, James (Sue), Gregory (Linda), Karla (Rick), and Carol; her grandchildren, Daniel, Clarissa, Matthew, Kristen, Brian, Eric, and two grandchildren who were raised by Ivan and Shirley, Tanya and Andrew; 14 great-grand children; her brother Bill and sister-in-law Hisako, and many, many friends.
She was preceded in her death by her husband, Ivan.
Shirley loved Montana, shopping, Willie Nelson, and spending time with her friends and family. Shirley will be remembered for her selflessness and strong faith.
Services will be held on Friday, September 23 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Church In Saratoga. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stanford Children's Hospital.
