Salvador Alex Villagomez Jr.

Salvador Alex Villagomez Jr. was born on December 3rd, 1973 in San Jose, California. The son of Salvador Alex Villagomez Sr, Ruth Christine Soldano, and stepson of Mike Soldano. He was raised in Sacramento and San Jose, CA. He passed away unexpectedly in San Jose on December 23rd, 2021 leaving behind many family and friends. 

Sal’s greatest accomplishments included the birth of his son, Salvador Villagomez III on May 14th, 2004 and coaching both of his son’s Pop Warner football teams, which created lasting memories and friendships. He adored watching his son Johnny become a father, making him a very proud grandfather. He loved all animals, the Oakland Raiders, Sacramento Kings and Chicago White Sox. One of Sal’s greatest pleasures was socializing and making new friends. People were drawn to his magnetic personality and great sense of humor. Sal will be remembered for his unending positive energy, his generosity, wittiness, patience, authenticity, his entertaining and hosting abilities, clean white sneakers, and being the life of the party. He was a devoted son, loving father, affectionate grandfather, doting big brother, a wonderful cousin, and a loyal friend. One of Sal’s favorite activities was BBQing on a random weekend day, after a visit to the flea market and watching sports with his cousins. 

Sal is survived by his sons Johnny Atencio and Salvador Villagomez III, his granddaughter Annaliyah Atencio, his mother Ruth Soldano, his father Salvador Villagomez, his stepfather Mike Soldano, and his siblings James Sanchez, Gina Soldano, Gina McLaughlin, Tara Villagomez, Bryan Villagomez and Lisa Pringle.
