Phyllis Lorraine DePalmo

Phyllis was born March 31, 1936 in Hafford, Saskatchewan, Canada as the fourth of seven children to George and Clara Raiche.  The family moved to Chowchilla, California in 1947 where she graduated from Chowchilla High School.  Her family later moved to San Jose where  she met her husband Chuck when they both worked at FMC Corporation.  Chuck and Phyllis were married in 1959 and remained loving spouses for 62 wonderful years.

She is predeceased by her parents and her three bothers - Lawrence, Leo and Alvin.  She is survived by her devoted husband, Chuck and their three children - Danny, Darlene and Carolyn.  She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and her three sisters - Lucille, Evelyn and Elaine and many nieces and nephews.

Phyllis loved children and worked in the office at several elementary schools in the area. She felt very blessed to have her nine grandchildren grow up near her and was always an incredibly loving and caring presence in their lives.  Phyllis and Chuck were active members of St. Lucy Catholic Parish in Campbell and were awarded many honors for their service to the parish.

Phyllis and Chuck enjoyed many years of square dancing with local clubs and several RV trips with great friends through the years.  After Chuck’s retirement, they enjoyed extensive foreign travel and loved seeing the world together and with many of their cherished friends and family.
