Mary Lou Capco Santillan

Dr. Mary Lou Capco Santillan, lovingly known as Malou or Lulu, left this life at the age of 65 on Tuesday the 13th of September 2022 after her battle with cancer. She passed away at home and surrounded by those who loved her in life.

Lulu was born on the 10th of September, 1957 and was raised by her cherished Capco clan. She finished her undergraduate degree in Medical Technology and went on to become a physician with a passion for pediatrics. She practiced for over 35 years, working in the Philippines, Fiji, Australia, and the Federated States of Micronesia. Her legacy endures in the hundreds of children she saved and the thousands of lives she changed throughout the world.

She is known for immersing herself in the care of others, most especially her family and friends. Lulu enjoyed making everyone happy and gracing them with her distinct laughter along with her delicious cooking.

She is survived by three daughters, a loving husband, and a large extended family who will miss her dearly.
