Margaret Mary (Peggy) Pack was born to John and Mildred Smith in Harrisburg, PA. Peggy passed away peacefully in her home in San Ramon with her family by her side. She is survived by her children Marjorie Lynch (Michael), Edward Pack Jr, Robert Pack (Carmen) and Jeffrey Pack (Sandy). Peggy was predeceased by her beloved husband Edward Pack, her son John and sister Jean Smith. Her grandchildren include Aimee Johns (Paul Bandy), Katherine Seither (Justin), Noelle Pack, Danielle Pack and Garrett Pack. Her dearest grandchildren Troy and Alana Pack died tragically at the ages of 10 and 7. Great grandchildren include Lauren Bandy, Willa and Dillon Seither and many nieces and nephews. Peggy was a true force known for her beauty, intelligence and love of people. She was the life of the party and made everyone smile. Named “TaTa” by Aimee, she was famous for her apple pies, her love of children and sense of community. In 1959, Peggy, Ed and the kids relocated from Pittsfield, MA to Campbell. Even with five children she found time to be a PTA President, Den Mother and catechism teacher. As her children grew older Peggy worked for the Campbell School District and then in 1969 helped her husband start Edward L. Pack Associates an acoustical consulting firm. Together they ran a very successful business. Ed retired in 1989 and Peggy in 1994. Jeff took over the business and still runs it to this day. During the 70’s Peggy and Ed became active in Campbell as planning commissioners with Peggy becoming its first woman commissioner. Peggy also loved politics and was active in state and local elections. In 1977 she was chosen Campbell’s Citizen of the Year and received a declaration from the Governor. But her biggest joy was her family and friends whom she was always ready to help. To say she will be missed is an understatement of the highest degree. We will love and miss you forever TaTa. Services will be held on Friday, Sept. 30 at Darling Fischer Los Gatos Memorial Park. The memorial will commence at 1:00 followed by the funeral at 2:00.
