aka Lillian Mary Lopes
Resident of Campbell
September 19, 1935 – October 20, 2017
DeDe Kitchen passed away Friday morning, October 20, 2017, peacefully with her daughters, Gayle DeLuca and Lisa Stark, by her side. Lisa was reading a passage from DeDe’s bible, Philippians chapter 4 verses 4-9, when DeDe took her last breath.
DeDe was born and raised in Santa Clara, California. After meeting and marrying Dan Kitchen they purchased a home in Campbell, California and moved their family there. In that home of 50+ years she and Dan raised three children, Gayle, Danny, and Lisa. After her children became adults she returned to school to receive certification to become a medical receptionist. She worked at Valley Medical Center for 12+ years and then took an early retirement due to her diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. DeDe was a fighter. She did not let her disease stop her. It was not until the MS took the form of dementia that the disease started to win the fight. DeDe loved singing, praying, and worshipping the Lord.
DeDe is survived by her two daughters, Lisa Stark and Gayle DeLuca, her son-in-law Eric Stark, her seven grandchildren, Michael Martinez, Matthew DeLuca, Nichole Williams, Danielle Urquiza, Brittney Nonn, Eric Stark, and Daniel Kitchen, and her three great grandchildren, Madison DeLuca, and Brook and Mackenzie Williams, and her four sisters, Angie McColley, Violet Allen, Shirley Reynoso, and Lorraine Grady, and her one brother, Burt Lopes. Her loving and caring spirit, along with her contagious smile will be missed by all who knew her.
