Karen M. Okazaki passed away peacefully on January 26, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Hospital (GSH) in San Jose, CA.
Karen is reunited with her parents, K. George and Katherine Okazaki, her brother, Randy and sister, Beth.
Karen was born on January 10, 1946 at the Fowler Municipal Hospital, CA. After graduating from Selma High School, Karen became a RN. She spent most of her long productive career
as a RN at GSH and later retired in their IT department.
Karen enjoyed reading on her Kindle, shopping, eating, dining out with her friends, gardening, cats, and travelling to her favorite places, Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo, Salinas, exploring the entire Bay Area and most of all vacationing in Hawaii with Beth. She loved the ocean breeze
and all things Hawaiian.
Karen was an extremely kind and generous person who could find the most unique gifts items. Karen rooted for all of the Bay Area’s sports teams and was most passionate of the Golden State Warriors.
Special thanks are made to the highly skilled ICU team of doctors and staff at the Good Samaritan Hospital for their work in treating and caring for Karen.
Karen is survived by her Aunt Ryoko of Fowler and her 4 cousins, Robert, David, Stanley and Wayne Okazaki.
Karen will be laid to rest with her family members at the Selma Floral Memorial Cemetery in Selma, CA. A private family service will be held.
