Charles Norman Steffeck

Chuck was born on June 29th, 1957 to Norman & Leona Steffeck as the middle of 5 children. He was raised in Fremont, CA and graduated from Kennedy High School in 1975. He enlisted in the U.S. Army shortly after his graduation and served for 3 years of active duty in the 3rd US Infantry The Old Guard - Honor Guard Company at Fort Myer in Washington, DC. During his service he met his future wife, Betty, of 43 years. He returned to California to attend San Jose State University and received his BS in Engineering. Chuck is survived by his wife, Betty; three daughters, Caitlin (Ryan), Kristen, Laura (Chris); six granddaughters, Allison, Madison, Brianna, Olivia, Kacey, and newest granddaughter, due in late September; siblings, Barbara (Frank), Craig, Mark, Janine (Mike); countless nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; and friends. He will be remembered for his strong commitment to family, both immediate and extended; love for Bay Area sports teams; and his infectious laugh and warm hugs.
