Cameron G. Anetsky passed away peacefully on her 50th birthday, Sunday, July 9, 2017, at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose with her beloved husband, Edward (Ed) Anetsky, by her side. Although she struggled with multiple health issues for many years, Cameron never allowed it to stop her from embracing life and all its offerings. She will be remembered for her fierce determination, generous spirit, caring nature, and the deep love she had for all who knew her.
Cameron was born July 9, 1967, in Los Gatos, CA to George and Leonteene (Villeneuve) Gildez. A 1985 graduate of Blackford High School, she later went on to graduate from San Jose State University in 1989 with a BA in Physical Anthropology. For 26 years, she worked as a Director of QA for many Bay Area tech companies before starting her own tutoring business in 2012. Cameron met Ed in the summer of 1997 and four years later they married on November 3, 2001. A woman of faith, Cameron attended Calvary Chapel in San Jose and took part in many church activities.
Cameron was active in both Northern Renaissance Pleasure Faire and Dickens Fair and enjoyed dancing at local PEERS (Period Events & Entertainments) events, where she made many lifelong friends. She loved traveling, especially taking cruises to Alaska and the Mediterranean. In 2015 she was finally able to fulfill a lifelong desire to visit Israel. Disneyland was also a favorite destination where she created many wonderful memories with her children and husband. One of her greatest joys was to cook holiday dinners for her family, and no meal was complete without her famous pumpkin pies.
Cameron is survived by her husband, Edward Anetsky, and their son, Brandon Anetsky; her children, Ian Wallace, Briana (David) Johnsen, and Connor Wallace from her first marriage to Leland Wallace; her father and mother-in-law, Alan and Eleanor Anetsky; her brother-in-law Randy (Jennifer) Anetsky; and her niece Jane. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, George and Leonteene (Lindy) Gildez.
