Anthony "Tony" Barry Clift

We regret to report the passing of Anthony "Tony" Barry Clift, 57, of San Jose, CA. Our dear Tony left us on August 14, 2023, in Santa Clara, CA. Born on April 30, 1966, he brought his unique wit, charm and love of life wherever he went. 

Tony, survived by his loving wife, Julie Misfeldt Clift, his daughters, Lauren and Katherine, his brother Gene Clift, sister-in-law Valerie Clift, his sister Karen Clift and his mother Doris Clift. He now joins his father, Carl Clift, in eternal rest. 

Tony attended The Harker School for his primary education and Bellermine College Preparatory, where his spirituality thrived. He went on to earn his BA and MBA at San Jose State University. 

Calling Tony an outdoor adventurer would be an understatement. He prided himself on his collection of adventurous hobbies, from reeling in big catches in Ketchikan, AK to sailing the seas outside the Santa Cruz Harbor, and even exploring underwater depths through SCUBA diving. He enjoyed backpacking, horse packing, mountain biking and satisfying his wanderlust through travel to Alaska, Costa Rica, the Galapagos Islands, Belize, and Bali to name a few. He lived everyday to the fullest until the end.  

Join us at the Presbyterian Church of Los Gatos on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 2 pm, where his spirit will be celebrated.
