Heaven received our greatest gift on Christmas Eve, “Andy” Sifuentes, devoted husband and loving father.

After more than a year of battling gastric cancer, he spent his last month at the VA Hospital Hospice ward and quietly passed away.

Andy was brother to seven sisters, but the only son of Jessie and Andrew Sifuentes. He devoted 23 years to the US Air Force, traveling to Germany, (Okinawa) Japan, Philippines, and various states in the U.S. His service included 2 years in Vietnam.

During his tour in Okinawa, he met and married Jeannie, his first and only love. It was there that he learned and excelled at the martial art, Judo. He competed and won several trophies.

When Andy retired from active military service, he moved back to California. He went to work for the Veterans Administration Hospital for nearly 40 years, receiving a 60-year service award, just before retiring.
