Elsa Quinanola was born on September 22, 1930. She passed away at home on February 1, 2017 surrounded by her family after suffering for three weeks as result of massive stroke. She married Ireneo Quinanola (deceased 1998) on May 19, 1947, and had ten children; Henrietta Gard (Charles), Dana (Mary), Albert (Evangeline), Ruvi Lopez (Dennis), Vida Rosal (Dennis), Noe (Grace), Delano (Sheila), Armando (Felisa), Rona White (Roger), Irel (Lenka). Elsa also had 21 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
She grew up in the town of Asturias, in Cebu, Philippines. She immigrated to the USA in 1979. Elsa was a loving, kind, gentle, unselfish woman and mother. She enjoyed sightseeing and traveling. She was an avid reader and loved solving crossword puzzles. She always loved family gatherings and parties. Happiness to Elsa was being surrounded by all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be remembered as a warm, caring mother and doting grandmother.
Family and friends are invited to attend Elsa’s funeral mass on February 9, 2017, 11:00 A.M at St Maria Goretti church, 2980 Senter Road, San Jose, California. A graveside service will take place following at Oakhill Cemetery in San Jose, California.
